Every year, we celebrate Women's Day on March 8. Some go to marches, some forward messages, while there are many who just don't want to be bothered. .

Women’s Day now has become synonymous to events and gift tokens from cosmetic companies, jewellery and clothing brands.

IWD was founded in 1911 as International Working Women’s Day – a socialist, anti-racist celebration in honour of migrant women’s unionised struggles.

In 2022, women earned an average of 82% of what men earned. This data has just increased by 2% since 2002.

Women are shamed and called names for their choices of clothes, number of partners, profession or whatever they do. It's 2023 and it needs to stop.

More women in the parliament will lead to sensitive laws for women. As of October 2021, Women represent 10.5% of the total members .
