Apple is opening its second store in India, in Delhi’s Saket, today, on April 20. The first Apple store in India was opened in Mumbai on April 18.
The store was unveiled by CEO Tim Cook at 10 am. Cook is expected to interact with customers through the day.
Apple Saket store is half the size of the store in Mumbai's BKC, yet reportedly pays around the same rent of Rs 40 lakh per month.
The store will feature an Apple Pickup station and a feature wall manufactured in India.
The space is designed with white oak tables and is 100% renewable energy-powered.
The store has over 70 retail team members from 18 different states in India.
Customers can make reservations at the Genius Bar for assistance with various issues.
Free in-store sessions will be available through the "Today at Apple" program.
Tim Cook had shared pictures of his visit to Delhi’s Lodhi Art District before his meeting with PM Modi.
The store is a significant milestone for Apple in establishing a foothold in the Indian market.
