THE KASHMIR FILES VS IFFI
CONTROVERSY

Vivek Agnihotri's film The Kashmir Files is in controversy yet again, this time due to a film festival.

It all started when the film was submitted at this year's International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa.

IFFI jury head and Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid went on to call the movie "vulgar" and a "propaganda".

The comments were met with much backlash and IFFI members clarified that these were his personal opinions.

Not only did Indians criticise Lapid's words, even Israeli diplomats like ambassador Naor Gilon called his remarks "insensitive".

Lapid however continued defending his statement as he felt the film had "fascist features".

If this drama wasn't enough, Delhi-based lawyer Vineet Jindal also filed a case against Lapid!

The advocate stated that the Lapid's statement is manipulated with ill-intention towards Hindus.

As for Agnihotri, he has challenged Lapid saying that he would quit filmmaking if even one scene is proven to be factually incorrect.
