Spring-Summer Skincare Tips 2023

get your skin summer ready

With the onset of summer, prep your skin for the hot weather. Here's a list of basic summer skincare essentials to get that summer glow.

apply spf

Apply a generous amount of sunscreen on your face & body before you step out of the house. Wear sunscreen that suits your skin-type & is at least SPF 30 or higher.

makeup that has spf

You can buy makeup - BB & CC creams that have SPF & foundation or tinted moisturisers with SPF to have that extra protective layer on your face.

moisturiser 

If you have an oil-skin you can use a gel-based moisturiser or if you have a dry skin - go for moisturiser with thicker consistency. Moisturising is a must!

facial cleansing 

1. Cleanse 2 x day
2. Use specific skin-type cleanser
3. It Hhelps unclog pores & kill acne-producing bacteria 
4. Cleanser - mild, alcohol free, pH balanced

To get a glowing healthy skin you have to stay hydrated. Drink at least 2-3 litres of water everyday. Eat food rich in antioxidants as well.

stay hydrated

After exfoliation, you can put a face mask that could be sheet mask or a clay mask. Clay masks help fight acne, remove impurities & absorbs extra oil.

You can do at home DIY masks. Summer masks include - Aloe vera masks for a cooling effect, turmeric masks, yogurt + honey masks & more!

Include Vitamin C Serum in your skincare routine & Vitamin C in general in your diet. It helps brighten & evens out your skin, reduces lines & wrinkles.

COMPACT powder handy

Keep loose or compact powder handy because it is long lasting, gives a matte finish to your makeup & controls sweat and shine for hours in hot weather.

lip care

Don't forget to hydrate your lips this summer season. Keep a good hydrating lip balm. Exfoliate your lips with lip scrubs to remove loose, flaky skin on the lips.
