With 1,279 goals in 1,363 games,  Pele is regarded as the greatest goalscorer of all time.

Even though UK goalie Gordon Banks saved the ball, Pele's header was a highlight in 1970.

Brazil defeated Sweden in the 1958 World Cup final with 17-yr-old Pele scoring 2 out of 5 goals.

Yet another iconic header, this time from the 1970 World Cup final against Italy. 

Pele uses a free kick to score a goal against Romania in the 1970 tournament. 

Pele displays a touch, flick and deft finish in the famous 5-2 win over Sweden in 1958. 

He keeps on running until he scores in this club match for Santos against Benfica in 1962. 

Even though there's no video, Pele sees his 1959 goal for Santos vs Juventus as his best one. 

Here, the legend can be seen  performing the famous bicycle kick against Belgium in 1968.

Pele even tricked Uruguay players with a "dummy run" followed by a quick goal in the 1970 World Cup.

Even though he finally lost the battle against cancer, his legacy lives on with such goals.
