Triggered by Canadian wildfires, parts of the northern US, including New York are covered with smoke and haze.

At one point, New York with “very unhealthy” air, surpassed Delhi and Kolkata, to become the city with most polluted air.

Usually, the cities in the American North West and West bear the brunt. This time the winds pushed the smoke towards the North East of America.
