Bharati Research Station is one of the 3 Indian scientific research stations in Antarctica, located in Larsemann Hills. The other 2 are Dakshin Gangotri and Maitri.
The station was established on March 18, 2012, and is operated by India's National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research.
The station is situated at an altitude of 1,310 metres above sea level and has a maximum accommodation capacity of 47 people.
The primary focus of research at the station is climate change, atmospheric sciences, and geology.
The station is equipped with a medical centre, a gymnasium, and a library to cater to the needs of the scientists and staff members.
