RRTS will provide QR-based paper tickets, as well as access through the National Common Mobility card used on Delhi Metro.
Reports say RRTS will offer airplane-like amenities including reclining seats, WiFi, mobile charging points, separate seats for the specially-abled and more.
Already, several trial runs of the rapid train have been conducted in Ghaziabad.
The Delhi-Meerut route is estimated to be completed by 2025, with more routes opening in between.
RRTS will enable travel between Delhi and Meerut within one hour. There will be 24 stations in between, including Ghaziabad.
RRTS aims to connect Delhi NCR with satellite towns nearby. It will help de-congest roads, reduce air pollution and provide easy travel option for people.
