Sony's latest collaboration with Marvel Studios is its upcoming Spider-Man project is Kraven the Hunter starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The film centers around Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian big game hunter in Marvel comics, whose mission is to capture Spider-Man.

Unlike Venom and Morbius, Kraven the Hunter will be rated R, making it the first R-rated Marvel film at Sony.

Kraven the Hunter has had a longer journey to the screen since its conception and will finally be released in October, after multiple reschulings.

Directed by JC Chandor and written by Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum, the movie explores Sergei Kravinoff's backstory and his battle against the evil his father represents.
