The major tourist hotspot on the Mumbai-Delhi route is also in line for redevelopment. The Prime Minister mentioned sighting the iconic Hawa Mahal from the upgraded station in Rajasthan.

An important stop on the busy Delhi-Howrah route, its heritage structure dates back to the 1930s. This station is part of the 55 approved for redevelopment in UP.

Among Bihar's major cities, this cultural hub attracts Buddhists globally and is among the 49 stations in the state slated for renovation, featuring a distinct Buddhist stupa.

The comparatively smaller station has witnessed an increase in tourists heading to the UNESCO site, Khajuraho Group of Temples. Its interiors are anticipated to showcase Chandel art.
