Priyanka Chopra is one of those ladies in Bollywood who doesn’t give a second thought when it comes to trolling her trollers. She politely trolls people, so that it doesn’t offend them, but also sends her message across. We saw an example of that recently when Priyanka Chopra gave a classic reply to US comedian Rosie O'Donnell.
WHAT HAPPENED?
US comedian Rosie O’Donnell in some of her Instagram videos referred to Priyanka as the 'Chopra wife' and 'some Chopra' while narrating a recent encounter with the actor and her husband Nick Jonas in California.
Rosie also said that she knew Priyanka’s father. On being prodded by Priyanka, she said that Deepak Chopra, the American wellness doctor, is her father. It left Priyanka in an embarrassing situation. She told her that Deepak Chopra was not her father and that Chopra is a common surname in India.
O'Donnell in an Instagram post talked about the whole gaffe while once again referring to Priyanka as 'some Chopra'. This led the actor to post a brutal but sweet reply to O'Donnell.
With regards to her surname, Chopra, the actress said that not every Chopra happens to be related to the great Deepak just like not all Smiths are related to the legendary Will Smith.
The comedian later apologised saying, “I just want to apologise to her and to everyone who thought that it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry.”
This is how Priyanka Chopra saw off a comedian.
But this is not the first time that Priyanka has hit back with awesome replies to snarky or inappropriate comments directed at her.
Here are 5 times the Desi Girl gave out-of-the-box replies to some weird questions:
1. THE ACCENT QUESTION FROM KAREENA

During a Koffee With Karan episode in Season 6, Priyanka shot a reply at Kareena for questioning her accent. Priyanka said that she gets the accent from the same place Kareena's boyfriend gets his accent from. Priyanka hinted at Saif Ali Khan who was in a relationship with Kareena Kapoor back then.
The two leading Bollywood actors also share a history of rivalry from their prime days. But in 2019, the two 'voluntarily' appeared together on Koffee With Karan and seemed to enjoy a good camaraderie.
2. THE BOND WITH DEEPIKA

A journalist once asked Priyanka Chopra if she sensed a global competition in Deepika, as the Gehraiyaan actor was also eyeing Hollywood projects. Priyanka, who has always shared an excellent bond with Deepika, said, ”I thought you people say we are best friends. Ab competition ban gaye. So, when did this change?”
Priyanka went on saying when prodded, ”I never said that my relationship with Deepika has changed. You guys are saying this.”
In the end, she said, "Ham jaise they waise he hain, aapka nazariya badla hai (We haven't changed nor has our relationship, it is only your perception that has changed)."
This was Priyanka’s way of silencing rumours of any tiff with Deepika.
3. THE PUNJABI ROOT
In 2011, a guest on Aap Ki Adalat asked Priyanka not to call herself a Punjabi given that she has never lived in Punjab. She shot back saying, ”The problem with you is that your thinking is naive and small. You can’t digest the fact that I carry so many nationalities with me. My Father is from Punjab and I am proud of it.”
The response garnered thunderous applause from the audience.
Priyanka says that her father is from Punjab, she spent eight years of her life in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and her mother was born in Chennai. She said her maternal grandmother was from Kerala while her maternal grandfather was from Kashmir. She was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
4. THE FEMINISM QUESTION

Once a journalist asked Priyanka why she doesn’t speak up when a woman slaps a man in Hindi movies and how she can be so okay with it when she is the flag bearer of feminism.
Priyanka responded saying that there is nothing wrong if a girl slaps a guy for eve-teasing her. She said feminism is not about physique but it's about equal opportunity.
“I can be a CEO and a mother,” she said.
5. THE PATRIOTIC PRIYANKA
A Pakistani girl in the US called Priyanka Chopra a hypocrite during a show. She said that though Priyanka talks about humanity; on February 26, 2019, she posted 'Jai Hind' on Twitter, lending her support to the Indian armed forces. She said, ”Being an ambassador of UNICEF for Peace you are encouraging nuclear war against Pakistan.”
Priyanka shot back saying that though she has friends and fans in Pakistan, she is also patriotic. She said that war is not something she is fond of.
