9-year-old Shimla boy who won Rs 12.5 lakh on KBC 13 reveals what meeting Big B was like

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 13 invited children from all across the country for their kids' special season. Recently, a 9-year-old boy from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, won a lump sum amount of Rs 12,50,000 on the show. The KBC 13 episode on which Arunoday Sharma appeared, was quite a hit as the cute little boy did not fail to impress the audience.

The talkative kid also left Amitabh Bachchan in utter surprise as he imitated the actor quite well. On the episode, Arunoday sang Kishore Kumar’s hit song Jahaan Char Yaar. On the 71st episode of KBC Season 13 which aired on November 29, Arunoday wore a pahadi hat and entertained the audience throughout the episode.

HAPPY TO WIN BUT NO BIG FUTURE PLANS

We spoke to Arunoday Sharma to know more about his journey.

When we asked about his future plans after winning the big amount, Arunoday said, “I don’t have any big plans for now. After reaching Class 9 or 10, I will decide or maybe after college. I may make a wrong decision but will go with the flow.”

SINGING IS A PASSION

You saw the Himachali boy singing on the episode. We asked him about his singing, and he called it his passion. “Singing is my passion. If my passion turns into my profession, it would be great. I will be happy and will be thankful to my parents and teachers.” Classic Bollywood songs Sayonara, Zarurat Hai Zarurat Hai and Khaike Paan Banaraswala are his all-time favourite melodies.

Not just singing, Arunoday is also keen on learning different musical instruments like guitar, tabla and flute.

A CHILD WHO LOVES GOING TO SCHOOL

It might come as a surprise to you that Arunoday loves to go to school. He had been awarded for 100 per cent attendance for the past three years. His mother also added, “He never misses school. Even if he is sick, he would take medicine and attend school.”

HE IS COOL AS ICE

On the episode, you might have noticed that Arunoday is very calm and not at all nervous. You can see him giggling, talking, singing and dancing. He got even Amitabh Bachchan to shake a leg with him. Arunoday was not shy or nervous on national television. When asked about the same, he replied, “Bachchan sir made me feel so comfortable. After meeting him, I left all my tensions behind.”

According to KBC norms, the amount Arunoday won will be transferred to his account as a fixed deposit. His mother shared that they will use the money for his education in future.
