#FREEDBRITNEY: After 13 years, Britney Spears’s conservatorship has come to an end. Many aspects of the singer’s life were controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, and others, after her infamous public breakdown in 2007. After multiple documentaries (3 to be exact) and a social-media driven #FreeBritney movement, the singer announced on Twitter that her conservatorship has ended and showed love and appreciation for her fans. She also introduced the hashtag '#FreedBritney'.

Britney was originally put under conservatorship in 2008 after a year of erractic behaviour, particularly when she shaved her head and attacked a paparazzo's car with an umbrella. As a result, Jamie asked for an emergency ‘temporary’ conservatorship citing that his daughter was unable to care for herself amid her worsening mental health. In early November this year, Britney told the world on social media that the conservatorship was actually her mother’s idea. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Britney wrote, "What people don't know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea. I will never get those years back... she secretly ruined my life. You know exactly what you did. My dad is not smart enough to ever think of a conservatorship, but tonight I will smile knowing I have a new life ahead of me.”

#FreedBritney is also being celebrated by other 90-00s’ icons such as Paris Hilton, Cher and Lady Gaga. Here is what they said:

PARIS HILTON SAYS 'I DO': Wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown, entrepreneur and reality TV star Paris Hilton wed venture capitalist Carter Reum on November 11. The wedding took place at her late grandfather Barron Hilton’s former Bel Air estate, and Demi Lovato gave a special performance of I Will Always Love You during the dinner. Paris told Vogue, "Carter and I have been friends for over 15 years. We stayed in each other’s lives over time, and we reconnected at a Thanksgiving get-together in 2019. From that night, I felt the spark, and the rest is history."

Paris’s emerald-cut engagement ring is designed by Jean Dousset, the great-grandson of Louis Cartier, and draws inspiration from classic Art Nouveau aesthetics and the vaulted glass ceiling of the Grand Palais in the city that's her namesake. The wedding was attended by many old friends of Paris, including Kim Kardashian, and sister Nicky Hilton was Paris’s maid of honour.

Paris also told Vogue, “On top of wedding planning, I launched my new media company, 11:11 Media, this year and am in the process of filming and producing a TV show with Peacock called Paris in Love.” Variety reports that the show, a '13-part wedding series will follow Hilton as she discovers the road to the altar [and] has a few unexpected turns along the way as she prepares to marry’. The show began streaming on November 11 and episodes will release every Thursday.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION FOR LINDSAY LOHAN: Mean Girls and Parent Trap famed actor Lindsay Lohan is all set to return to screen with Netflix. On November 12, Netflix released the first look of an upcoming holiday rom-com which showed Lindsay walking alongside her co-star Chord Overstreet sporting winter looks. The film is expected to release during the 2022 holiday season.

On November 15, Lindsay tweeted a picture of herself from the movie, saying she 'couldn't be happier'.

In May 2021, Netflix said that Lohan will star as a “newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident.” This film is Lindsay’s first project since her 2019 horror movie, Among the Shadows.
