Bollywood superstar Salman Khan doesn’t have much of a reputation of being fair when it comes to hosting the reality TV show Bigg Boss. However, his attitude towards one contestant in particular in season 12 of the show has set standards of bias and reactions about alleged meanness that the star may himself find difficult to beat.
Every week as Khan hosts Weekend Ka Vaar, television actor Karanvir Bohra finds himself being ridiculed and mocked at. While Bigg Boss is supposed to be a fun show, Khan seems to miss the line between fun and bullying.
The meanness went on for weeks but has now been called out by the TV actor's former co-star Simple Kaul and actress Nigaar Khan.
Salman Khan is so mean to @KVBohra ???? and only him . donno why ??? Hated his nasty comment on fizz #BigBoss12

Why is @KVBohra targeted for everything .. poor guy gets questioned for the tiniest things and is ridiculed .. #notfair @BiggBoss #BiggBoss12

Fans of Karanvir also think that Salman Khan, who hosts Bigg Boss 12, often 'mocks' Karanvir either for his dressing sense or for his actions inside the house and has a 'biased attitude' towards him.
In the Weekend Ka Vaar episode broadcast on Sunday, Khan made fun of Bohra's argument during the Sultani Akhada segment, in which he had a face-off with Sreesanth.

Sultani Akhada is a regular part of the show that sees contestants pitted against each other — first in a verbal duel and then a physical one.
Bohra was seen being jeered at by Khan after he lost to Sreesanth in the first round.
Earlier, Khan made fun of Bohra’s dressing sense going on to say that Bohra’s suit looked like it had been made out of a sofa cover.
After each such mean comment, the Bollywood superstar has then laughed thinking the joke is on Bohra, least realising the spotlight is on him.
The unease at this attitude is pretty palpable in the expressions of Bohra, who has been trying to put up a brave face and dismiss the meanness with smiles.
Given that Khan is an actor and has been seen wearing all kinds of clothes in his own movies, for him to make fun of someone else’s clothes — only because he as a superstar can — doesn’t reflect too well on Khan’s own self.
We can’t be judged by what we wear. But, yes, we can be judged by how we react to what others wear, eat or drink. Khan is doing this on national TV knowing well that Bohra is an actor (even if on small screen) and this could adversely impact his career.
Khan may have taken a dislike towards Bohra during the course of the show — but that doesn't allow him the licence to use his position as the host of the show to ridicule Bohra.
We deserve a better show, Mr Khan.
