Bigg Boss 11 blog: Why Ekta Kapoor doesn't want to be associated with Vikas Gupta
Last season winner Manveer Gurjar slammed on Twitter for supporting Vikas.
The 11th season of Bigg Boss could not be more controversial in its last week with television producer Ekta Kapoor putting out a tweet asking people not to associate her with Bigg Boss 11 contestant Vikas Gupta, who was one of the creative heads of Balaji Telefilms.

Reacting to reports that the producer has allegedly threatened the channel not to work with them in future if they do not make her friend Vikas Gupta the winner of the show, Ekta Kapoor said that Vikas would win based on his capabilities.
Mudslinging on social media
If something was uniquely spectacular this season, it was the social media strategy of the fans or the public relations firms masquerading as fans. Several fan pages were created. Twitter trends were planned, monitored and executed. The fight has been upped in the last leg of the journey as many ex-contestants, including last year’s winner Manveer Gurjar, are rooting for their favourite contestants and are being lashed out at by the other camp. And not only fanclubs or PRs, there are actors who believe that Vikas Gupta will be the fixed winner of the show.

Everyone supporting Vikas Gupta is seen as looking for opportunities to work with him once he is outside the Bigg Boss house. On the other hand, people supporting for Shilpa Shinde are termed as “losers” or PRs.
Shilpa breaks Hina’s mug
Far away from the social media hullaballoo, the housemates had an action-packed day while performing the task of “meanness”. Shilpa broke Hina’s favourite mug gifted by her boyfriend Rocky and became the meanest contestant for a while before Vikas waxed Puneesh’s whole body and snatched the title. For the past few days, Hina Khan has taken a backseat in the show, as Vikas and Shilpa have started hogging the limelight again. This was intensified after her mug with “Sher Khan” written on it was destroyes. Shilpa was basking in success as she finally came out of the “non-performing” zone.
Akash Dadlani evicted
Waking the housemates up from sleep, Bigg Boss announced a mid-week elimination based on audience votes. No surprise, Akash Dadlani received the least number of votes and was eliminated. He sought apologies if he had irritated the housemates, which he obviously did and nobody denied it too. However, it was a sweet parting for just two days as all housemates are supposed to meet during the grand finale on January 14.
