Television show producer Vikas Gupta has become a household name, courtesy his masterstrokes in Bigg Boss 11. The 30-year-old, however, was not a new name in the television industry. He was one of the youngest creative heads of Balaji Telefilms for serials like Mahabharat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kis Desh Mein Hain Mera Dil.
While he is being considered as the winner of the show, here are the reasons why he should not be the winner.
Vikas Gupta not a popular housemate
Roping him in on a reality show which also has actor Shilpa Shinde, whom he had allegedly ousted from the role of Angoori Bhabi in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai! was a calculated step by the channel. But, he could not gain as much popularity as he could have, given his television background.
Want proof? Shilpa Shinde, Hina Khan, Vikas Gupta and Luv Tyagi visited a mall to seek votes. Luv’s elimination was predictable. But that it would be a narrow escape for Vikas was not assumed. While Vikas got 428 votes, Luv, who was introduced to the television through Bigg Boss 11, won 393 votes.
Doesn’t this prove that Luv Tyagi, being a commoner, gathered much popularity in a short time?

Vikas violated a rule of the house
In a clear violation of the rules of the house, Vikas physically assaulted Akash Dadlani. It was true that Akash was unnecessarily irritating the housemates, but physical attack is strictly prohibited inside the house. It was speculated that Vikas would be thrown out of the house at once as it had happened in earlier seasons, and also with Priyank Sharma this season.
But that didn’t happen, dropping enough hints that the Bigg Boss house would not be able to do away with Vikas Gupta.
Is he actually a good player?
Vikas Gupta might have many qualities, but is he a really good player? Weren’t we missing his sharpness after Hiten Tejwani, Arshi Khan and Priyank Sharma left the house? Didn’t he just give up on the game and complain of being cornered?
Yes, he was a mastermind and played well when there were people to dance to his tunes. But when it comes to individual game, he has come across as a quite a weak player, a cry baby, who gives up easily and often thinks that the entire world is conspiring against him.
He is too influential
According to the industry insiders, Vikas is very close to Ekta Kapoor. That’s not all. Vikas is also the brother of actor Siddharth Gupta, who made his debut in Bollywood with Ekta Kapoor and Bejoy Nambiar’s joint venture Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi (2014).
Siddharth also played the lead role in ALTBalaji’s Ragini MMS: Returns (2017). Surprisingly, too many celebrities have started rooting for Vikas also on social media, just a week before the finale.

Was it a paid trending on Twitter?
This season introduced us to something called “planned trending” on Twitter for the contestants. Fans of Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan storm the social media with a specific hash tag on a specific date. While it’s not confirmed whether these are done by fans or firms managing their public relations, a sudden Twitter trend on Vikas Gupta (#VikasDeservesTheWin) raised suspicion.
Paid Vikas Gupta trend 1.34 M in first 8 hours rest 21K in 9 hours Aakhir yeh kaunse planet ki trending hai Jaadu Ke ya phir Ekta Mata ke @BiggBossNewz @HerdHUSH @TheRealityShows @_biggbossfc @emocraze

A Twitter user also complained that Siddharth Gupta arranged some paid fans at the Vashi mall.
I request @ColorsTV @BiggBoss team to look into this matter n take necessary action.Kindly contact me I have all the proofs against the "paid fans"of @lostboy54 This is shameful.Such influential n rich people can buy "paid fans" and votes anytime. @rajcheerfull @EndemolShineIND pic.twitter.com/Z8kwatuGub

However, Sidhharth has rubbished the claims and said that there was no online PR for Vikas, though many had approached him for the same.
