Do you cringe at those typos you made while texting on WhatsApp? And then find it annoying to send the correction? Well, now you can breathe a sigh of relief. WhatsApp has FINALLY introduced an 'edit' option for messages, similar to what is already available on rival platforms like Signal and Telegram.
WhatsApp announced the feature to allow users to edit their messages within 15 minutes of sending them. The edit option has started rolling out globally and will be available to users in a few weeks.

You now get up to 15 minutes after sending a message to edit it. So you don’t have to worry if you duck it up 🦆 pic.twitter.com/JCWNzmXwVr
So far, messages on WhatsApp couldn't be edited. Any typo, error, or addition had to send as a new message. Messages can also be deleted within 60 hours but the receiver will see that a message has been deleted.
WhatsApp has been coming out with a slew of new features in recent months. WhatsApp recently rolled out a new locked chat feature to let users have an extra layer of privacy and security for some of their chosen chats. It also said it will allow users to use their accounts across multiple mobile phones.
