The retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the ODI and T20I captain of the Indian Cricket Team has definitely marked the end of an era; an era of World Cup victories, stellar performances and genuinely historic moments in the world of Cricket. And while Dhoni may have a lot to look forward to post-retirement, his fans will forever remember the tenacious captain who brought India victory after victory, while being an exemplary team-player!
The coolest captain to have led the Indian Cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s legacy has been immortalised in several beautiful moments in the game and a rather commercially successful biopic. But the game of cricket, especially Indian ODIs, will never be the same without the man who created the “helicopter shot”.
