Flipkart Big Billion Days sale leaves Internet sour, Amazon Great Indian Festival scores better

With the ongoing festive sales such as the Flipkart Big Billion Days and Amazon Great Indian Festival, you'd expect people to go on a crazy shopping spree and try making the most of the discounts and deals, and being all happy and ecstatic about the products they buy.

But, this isn't the case as customers have shared their ordeals regarding ordering products online, receiving defective items, and the feeling of being scammed by the e-commerce platforms all on X (Twitter).

E-commerce platforms including Flipkart and Amazon promised to offer great discounts and attractive offers on wide range of products, from clothing and mobile phones to electronic appliances, beauty products and more.

The sales started October 8 onwards and said to last for a week. 

Flipkart Big Billion Days

  • Flipkart's Big Billion Days sales started from October 8 and will run until October 15. 
  • However, X (Twitter) has witnessed fuming customers blaming Flipkart's Big Billion Days for trying to scam them, receiving defective products, not offering enough discounts, cancelling the orders, and not giving out all the information properly. 

Here are the tweets where customers have voiced their complaints and their dissatisfaction with Flipkart's Big Billion Days:

A customer highlighted that he ordered a phone, Samsung S21 FE 5G from Flipkart Big Billion Days and the camera of the phone was not working.

Another X user highlighted that he bought a TV from Flipkart before the Big Billion Days sales started and noticed that during the sale period, the same TV was selling for a much higher price.

An X user shared that he placed four iPhone order and they were all cancelled. 

People have been blaming Big Billion Days sales for trying to scam them.

While, some people have shown anger towards paying a mandatory 'Offer Handling Fee'.

However, there are customers who have posted a positive feedback about the Big Billion Days.

 

Amazon Great Indian Festival

  • The Amazon Great Indian Festival started on October 8. However, for Prime Members, the sale started a day earlier, on October 7 and the sale is expected to last for a week.
  • On X, users have mostly showcased that they had a better experience with Amazon Great Indian Festival, although a few did point out not being offered better discounts on iPhones.

Another X user was upset about the fact the the remaining quantity of the product on sale was not mentioned.

Another customer complained the about the e-commerce website not working properly.
