It was the first semi-final of the World Cup, back in 2019, when millions of Indians were left sad and disappointed after New Zealand defeated India to qualify for the finals.
The MS Dhoni runout at the hands of Martin Guptill, the point of no-return in the match, was a heartbreak for Indians who felt like a victory being snatched from the cricket-loving nation.

It's that day again today.
India, the only unbeaten team in the 2023 ICC World Cup will face New Zealand again, in yet another World Cup knockout semi-final. New Zealand made it to fourth place to clash with the table toppers, ie, India.

But, on social media, it seems the ghost of Manchester has not been tamed yet. Memes are now serving as a reminder of what happened, how Indians left, and how the ghost still haunts us... ahead of the knockout today at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. So much so, that the Star Sports promo this year has a redemption angle to it which starts with the infamous runout.
