The Ukraine-Russia War has brought the world on edge. It’s Day 7 of the fighting and so far, the Ukrainian forces have stood their ground; the capital city Kyiv has not yet fallen. But intense battle continues in Ukraine’s second largest city, where an Indian student was killed in shelling, and now Russian paratroopers were reported to have attacked a hospital.
Representatives from Ukraine and Russia are set to hold a second round of talks to de-escalate the situation.
On the other hand, the Indian government is facilitating the safe return of its nationals. But congested border crossing has made evacuations more difficult than before. The evacuation route from Moldova has also been opened up for Indian nationals.
