Lok Sabha election results are largely in, and it seems to be a landslide victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party yet again. Social media played a powerful tool for many powerful people to have a political discourse. Modi-supporters battled hashtags such as #ChowkidarChorHai and offensive name-calling in the form of Gaurakshaks, Bhakts and the works. And now, with the saffron wave in full force, they are not losing any opportunity to gloat!
After all, when have you ever seen someone waging a battle against nepotism — and actually come out victorious? Bollywood is barely managing to hang in there!
Actor Akshay Kumar, the non-nepotistic product of tinsel town, who had made waves for interviewing PM Modi in pink pants, chose a rather sober way of congratulating his interviewee now.
Heartiest congratulations Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi ji on the historic win. All your efforts to advance the nation and put it on the global map have been acknowledged. Wishing you an even more successful second term.

On the other hand, Anupam Kher seemed rather chuffed, especially since his wife Kirron Kher won the election from Chandigarh. He proceeded to initiate his version of social media narebaazi (sloganeering).
आएगा तो................ :):):) ????

And even posted a cute video of his mum congratulating PM Modi!
Mom’s congratulatory Video note to Prime Minister @narendramodi & his team. She is repeating, “मैंने बोला था”। Difficult for her to contain her sense of triumph. She has taken it personally. But that is exactly how the whole country has taken it - personally.???????????????? #DulariRocks pic.twitter.com/BBLFd7XVbh

Adding a personal touch to the saffron festivities was actor Kangana Ranaut. Her sister Rangoli Chandel took to Twitter to share photographs of the Queen star's celebratory meal of chai and pakodas.
Kangana cooks rarely, when she is absolutely exhilarated, today she treated us with chai pakodas for @narendramodi Ji’s win #JaiHind #JaiBharat ???????? ???? pic.twitter.com/6hJIuxby9W

Sunny paaji aka Sunny Deol’s Gurdaspur win may have come as a pleasant surprise to many (especially Daddy Dearest Dharmendra). The veteran actor reportedly said he would have never permitted his son to contest if he knew the opponent was Sunil Jakhar. “He (Sunil) is like my son,” he said. Oh well!
Cricketer Harbhajan Singh came to his rescue (after probably watching Gadar on loop) and praised, out of everything else, Sunny’s fashion sense, making it amply clear that the way to Bhajji’s heart is through a spiffy turban.
Paji Ghaint lag rahe ho pagg ch???????? @iamsunnydeol congratulations on your win.. @BJP4India pic.twitter.com/itYoZn3Ooc

Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag chose to make a cricketing pun for NaMo, in his signature puns-with-punch style.
India has won. The world’s largest democracy has given it’s mandate. Many congratulations to Shri @narendramodi ji on being the leader of this great victory. May the second innings be even better and India continue to progress and reach greater heights. Jai Hind #VijayiBharat pic.twitter.com/uQerPssTkH

And just like fine wine, the gloat-of-wisdom came from Kabir Bedi as he took on the international media for vilifying Modi. Who's the divider-in-chief now?
PM MODI’S LANDSLIDE VICTORY is the nation’s resounding reply to Indian journalists in international media who claim Modi has divided India like never before. India has united behind him overwhelmingly. Heartfelt congratulations PM @narendramodi You make India proud! @BJP4India https://t.co/Ig9MugbcwW
