Every year, the creators of the iPhone introduce innovative and dynamic upgrades, implementing significant changes in their latest phone models. While the opening sentence may seem like a jest or a sarcastic commentary, it hasn't deterred thousands of people from queuing up and risking stampedes to acquire the newest iPhone version.
This year was no exception, with the market release of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, generating significant excitement. However, these new models seem to have brought along a new set of issues, rather than improvements.
Before delving into the details, let's address any potential defenses, such as the titanium-built phone, LiDAR scanning, the Bionic chipset, and other features we're already aware of.
Despite these impressive features, it appears that the highly anticipated iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models have encountered some problems.
Mohit Verma, an engineer turned Tech Content Creator, recently uploaded a video on X (formerly Twitter), expressing concerns about his iPhone 15 overheating. He remarked, "The natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro becomes extremely hot, to the point where it's difficult to hold."
The natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro gets extremely hot, so much so that it becomes difficult to hold. Furthermore, it heats up after just a 2-minute FaceTime call or when scrolling through reels for 8-10 minutes. Verma noted that the phone heats up after just a 2-minute FaceTime call or when scrolling through reels for 8-10 minutes.
However, he's not alone; several users have taken to X to voice similar complaints.
Tech enthusiast and reviewer Erica Griffin also voiced her concerns about her iPhone overheating. She stated, "Both of my clean install #iPhone15ProMax units heat up to excessive temperatures when using the notes app."
The plot thickens… both of my clean install #iPhone15ProMax units are heating up to stupid temperatures when just using the notes app. So I tried the same on my iPhone 13 Mini. It’s getting hot too! The Mini is on 17.0 and the 15 Pros on 17.0.2. Clearly, something wrong with iOS

These complaints have triggered a flurry of Twitter reactions, with people commenting, "iPhone 15 Pro and Max are heating up too much while charging. Well, at least there's a difference between iPhone 14 and 15 now."

Even during the iPhone's initial launch, Apple issued a cautionary note, highlighting that not all third-party adapters adhere to safety standards. They recommended users to "charge your iPhone" with "Made for iPhone" or other third-party cables and power adapters that conform to USB 2.0 or later standards and comply with relevant country regulations, as well as international and regional safety standards.
Some experts, however, are attributing the overheating issue to the new A17 chip included in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which features a more powerful graphics engine, according to Bloomberg.
A few days ago, Influencer JerryRigEverything conducted a durability test on his YouTube channel, examining the phone's durability. Surprisingly, despite being constructed from Titanium, the world's strongest metal, the phone exhibited a tendency to break easily with minimal force.
JerryRigEverything remarked, "The titanium used in the Apple product has failed to fulfill its purpose."
The iPhone also failed the "drop challenge," as demonstrated by another influencer who posted the results on Twitter.
