Uber has introduced "Uber Green" services in Bengaluru, Karnataka, allowing users to book environmentally friendly rides using electric vehicles.
The inaugural Uber Green vehicles were officially launched by Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge at Bengaluru Palace during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2023.

The inaugural green vehicles were inaugurated by Kharge, Karnataka, during his participation in the summit near the Palace Grounds.

Uber India President Prabhjeet Singh expressed Uber's unwavering commitment to sustainability and highlighted Uber Green as a step in that direction.
He mentioned that the launch in Bengaluru is the second introduction of Uber Green in the country, with the service already operational in Mumbai and gaining popularity among riders.
