How it all played out

Captain Brennan Cook of the Crandon Fire Department told WJFW-TV, "There is a mechanical failure with the ride where it became stuck in the upright position. The ride was recently inspected by the state of Wisconsin here on site, and at this time we don't have any other information."

  • The first passenger was safely brought back to solid ground at 3.20 pm CT (1.50 am IST), approximately two hours after the emergency crews were dispatched.
  • The last passenger, unfortunately bearing an extended wait, finally touched the ground at 5.01 pm (3.31 am IST), marking a time span of over three hours since the ride came to a halt.

All passengers were successfully rescued without any injuries and were transported to the hospital for a thorough examination as a precautionary measure.

Second in two days

The latest Wisconsin rollercoaster disaster comes just days after a US amusement park had to shut down its rollercoaster ride due to a massive crack in a support pillar. The crack was discovered by a visitor at the Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina, US; following which, the person put out a video on the same, prompting the park authorities to close the ride for repairs.
