Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, has received the third death threat in four days, demanding a heavy ransom of Rs 400 crore ($54 million).
The sender of the email wrote, "No matter how good your security is, one sniper of ours can kill you. This time the amount is Rs 400 crore, and the police can’t track and arrest me."
The FIR was lodged on the first day, by Ambani’s security in charge at the Gamdevi police station.
The FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 387 (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt in order to commit extortion) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation).
This also isn’t the first time that Ambani has received a death threat.
Last year also, the Mumbai police had arrested a man from Bihar’s Darbhanga, for making death threat calls to Mukesh Ambani.
