In a new twist to the Sukesh Chandrasekhar case, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has also decided to turn witness after Nora Fatehi. On Wednesday (January 18), Jacqueline appeared before the Delhi's Patiala court and spoke against Sukesh. Nora Fatehi had turned witness against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar a week back.

Jacqueline goes against Sukesh Chandrasekhar: Jacqueline Fernandez said in a court that Sukesh "ruined her career and livelihood". Fernandez, who was once believed to be in a relationship with Sukesh, turned against him after being named as an accused in the Rs 215 crore money laundering case.

• On meeting Sukesh, she said that the conman had introduced himself as owner of Sun TV and had claimed that he was the nephew of late Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha. "Chandrasekhar said that he was a big fan, and said that I should do films in South India too."
• Jacqueline revealed to the court that Sukesh used to call her in the morning before the shoot and once at night before she went to sleep. "He never mentioned that he was calling from a jail or that he is in jail. He used to call from one corner sitting on a sofa with a curtain in the background," Jacqueline said, India Today reported.
• She also said that Sukesh's aide Pinky Irani had not disclosed the criminal background of the conman when she had approached Jacqueline and it was only later that she came to know about his past.
• Jacqueline's relations with Sukesh cropped up when her two pictures, in which she was cozying up with Sukesh had appeared in the public domain.
• Jacqueline was accused of receiving gifts worth crores that included expensive purses, rings, perfumes, two diamond earrings, a Mini Cooper car, four cats and even a Rs 52 lakh horse.

  

   

• Not only Jacqueline, Nora too is accused of accepting gifts from Sukesh, which includes a BMW car.

The Nora Fatehi and Sukesh Chandrasekhar saga: It was Nora Fateh, who first turned witness in the case. The actress appeared before the Delhi's Patiala Court on January 13 and recorded her statement under Section 164 (recording of confessions and statement) before the magistrate.

• In her statement, Nora said that Sukesh had promised her a big house and luxurious lifestyle if she agreed to be his girlfriend.
• She had revealed that it Pinky told her cousin that many actresses were dying to be taken care by Sukesh and Jacqueline was also in the waiting line, but Sukesh wanted Nora.

  

   

How Nora met Sukesh? She said that she had met the conman Sukesh through his wife Leena Maria Paul at an event in Chennai in December 2020. It was this place where the whole Nora Fatehi and Sukesh Chandrasekhar story began.

• Nora, in her statement, said that she met Leena at the event, which was organized by LS Corporation and Nail Artistry( an entity of Leena).
• Nora said that Leena gifted her a Gucci bag and an iPhone there. "She said my husband is a big fan , he can't meet you but he can speak to you on the phone," Fatehi said, India Today reported.
• After Leena put Sukesh on the speaker phone, Sukesh said that he wanted to gift Nora a BMW car. Nora later received a call from Sukesh, and according to her, she gave Sukesh, the number of Bobby, her cousin's husband, for professional deals.
• On learning that Nora has denied accepting BMW, Sukesh offered it to Bobby and this is how the car, came to be booked under Bobby's name.
