The two-phase election is expected to witness a three-cornered contest between the BJP, the Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party.
Gujarat assembly elections will take place in two phases, on December 1 and on December 5, the Election Commission announced on Thursday (November 3). The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
The legislative assembly of Gujarat has 182 members and currently the BJP is in power in the state. The two-phase election is expected to witness a three-cornered contest between the BJP, the Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party.
