Every year, many people wait for the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, when products are at a reduced price. This year, the major draw was steep discounts on iPhones, but things did not go as planned. Now, #BoycottFlipkart is trending on Twitter.
iPhone 13, the Big Billion Days steal deal: iPhone 13 was their spotlight product for this year's Big Billion Days sale. The teaser of the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale 2022, in fact, announced that iPhone 13 (128 GB) will be available for Rs 49,999. On Apple’s official website, the 128-GB iPhone 13 is priced at Rs 69,900. Basically, Flipkart was selling the phone for almost Rs 20,000 cheaper.
Since the launch of the iPhone 14 (which is very similar to iPhone 13), customers have been trying to get their hands on iPhone 13 at the minimum price possible.
Now, this is exactly when Flipkart offered the most irresistible offer on iPhone 13, and saw many people adding it to their carts and proceeding to order it.
A steep discount, but catch it if you can: The big discount of Rs 20,000 on the particular device lasted for a few seconds only. Very few were able to grab the deal. The price of the phone changed within a few minutes, and went up to Rs 55,990.
The price was even higher for users who tried to purchase later. Customers then started criticising the shopping giant for rise in price.

(Very few could catch it): Such deals usually last during the initial days or the first few hours of the sale. It often becomes really hard to buy the product during such a small window. Then, customers went ahead and poured their frustrations out on Twitter.
Order placed, lost in transit: The price rise was not the only issue. Many who ordered the phone at the discounted price and higher are now struggling with the delivery of the product.
Twitter is flooded with complaints and screenshots of order summaries that show orders undelivered. Buyers are upset with the delays or non-delivery of the product.
I have ordered iphone 13 (PRODUCT) BLUE,128GB) on 22nd September after 2 day the seller has cancelled my order without my concern @flipkartsupport @Flipkart. I want my order back at the same price or I will go to consumers forum.

Finally, out of stock: The 128-GB iPhone 13 is already out of stock. The Flipkart sale, meanwhile, will go on till September 30.
These reasons made Twitter say '#BoycottFlipkart'.
A ray of light: Now while the iPhone 13 at that price might have gone to only a lucky few, there are many other devices on discount right now.
Flipkart reacts: "Flipkart is a customer first ecommerce marketplace and always ensures that customers' interests are protected. We understand that close to 70% of all iPhone orders placed across cities including Guntur, Gorakhpur, and Siliguri have been successfully delivered by the Sellers. Further, a minor fraction of orders (<3% of all orders) have been cancelled by Sellers due to anomalies. As a customer focused ecommerce marketplace, we encourage sellers to prioritise the customers' orders and strive to keep them delighted with their service," said Flipkart Spokesperson.
The lucky ones: Some extremely lucky people did get their iPhones from Flipkart, sans delivery hassles or price-rise woes. So, the situation is like:
