Bengaluru isn't a new name when it comes to commuters spending long hours in slow-moving, exhausting traffic, but what was truly amazing was when a man got food from Domino's delivered right outside his car while he was stuck in a massive traffic jam in Bengaluru on Wednesday, September 27.

The two delivery agents were able to track the customer's location and delivered the food spot on.

Maddening traffic

  • Bengaluru faced an unprecedented traffic jam on September 27th when around 3.5 lakh vehicles choked the city's Outer Ring Road (ORR) area, where vehicles were stuck on the road for around 5 hours, and many of them broke down as well.

  • A man ordered Domino's and got it delivered to his car while he was stuck in traffic (smart, right?).
  • User Rishivaths shared a video on social media where, after he ordered Domino's, two Domino’s delivery agents stopped their two-wheeler right before his car on the jam-packed road, walked up to the car, and delivered two boxes of food.

What caused traffic jam in Bengaluru?

  • Long weekend: Loads of people were on the road, probably heading out of the city for a short trip and making the most of the upcoming long weekend, where Thursday was marked by Eid-E-Milad, Friday was marked by Karnataka bandh.
  • And Gandhi Jayanti is on Monday, which was another public holiday.
  • There was double the volume of vehicles on the road: Normally, Wednesdays see a vehicle count of 1.5-2 lakh, but it reached 3.59 lakh by 7:30 pm on September 27th, according to the IBI traffic report.
  • Rains caused waterlogging: Rains caused waterlogging on several interior roads, which was another reason why the traffic was so bad.
  • The broken-down vehicles and Ganesh Visarjan processions in parts of the city also caused congestion on the roads.
