The entire process was handled by my employees after we received full payment from the client. That is how it works. Except for those who pick up and deliver shipments, we hardly ever get to meet our clients in person since the entire transaction is done online.

Recap: 26-year-old Shraddha Walkar's grisly murder by her live-in partner Aftab Amin Poonawalla has spooked India out. Shraddha and Aftab's story is of a toxic relationship and unsupportive environment that ended in murder.

The couple met in 2019 on the dating app Bumble and soon began living together against the wishes of Shraddha's family. Soon after moving in, Shraddha saw the abusive side of Aftab and confided the same into her mother and later to several of her other friends and even her estranged father.

After her mother's death in 2020, she lost all contact with her father, Vikas Walkar, whose missing complaint in August kicked off the search for Shraddha. Shraddha's friends have since narrated the various incidents of abuse and shared screenshots of text messages detail the events.

Shraddha reportedly wanted to leave Aftab due to the abuse. She once even lodged a verbal complaint at a local police station and was also hospitalised for various injuries. However, she was unable to leave the vicious cycle of abuse and reconciliation, with Aftab threatening to commit suicide.

Earlier this year, Shraddha decided to give the relationship another shot by moving from Mumbai. The couple spent a few months in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand before renting a flat in Delhi's Chhatarpur. Less than 3 days after moving into the Chhatarpur apartment, Shraddha was strangled to death by Aftab on May 18.

It's unknown whether he planned the murder or if it was done in the heat of the moment. But after her murder, he went on to chop her body to 35 pieces and scatter them across Mehrauli forest.

The police are finding it difficult to find evidence against Aftab, other than his confession to the police, given that nearly 6 months passed without the heinous crime coming to notice.
