Self-proclaimed social media influencer Bobby Kataria will be arrested soon by the Uttarakhand police. Kataria, in a viral video, was seen drinking alcohol in the middle of the road somewhere in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
For the unversed: Bobby Kataria is a Haryana-based Instagram influencer who is trying to live a sasta-Salman Khan life on social media. He flaunts his biceps, cars, alcohol and guns (the last two being his own addition to the Bhai life). He walks like your average gym bro and flexes his biceps all over Instagram.
The best part (or the worst, whichever way you look at it) are the people around him, his celebrity-like entries, bodyguards and folks dying to take a selfie with him. No one quite knows why he commands such a craze.
Okay, let’s skip to the most bizarre part: He has 635K followers on Instagram and a blue tick.
Let’s get back to the case that is sending Kataria behind bars: On July 28, Kataria uploaded a video on Instagram of him drinking alcohol in the middle of a road in Dehradun.
An FIR was lodged against him for stopping traffic, drinking alcohol on the road and threatening cops. The Uttarakhand police obtained a non-bailable warrant against him from the district court. They have now sent several teams to Haryana and other locations to arrest him.
But Kataria is a repeat offender: Drinking alcohol on the road and uploading a video of it is nothing new for Kataria. Recently, he was in the news for a viral video in which he can be seen smoking casually inside a SpiceJet airplane. Now smoking, as you know, is not allowed on airplanes.

The video went viral when Umesh Kumar, a lawmaker from Uttarakhand, tweeted the video of Kataria smoking and urged the authorities to take action against him.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also commented on the incident.
Investigating it. There will be no tolerance towards such hazardous behaviour.

Later, it was clarified that the video is from January 2022. It was shot when Kataria boarded a flight from Dubai to New Delhi. Back then, Kataria was put on a no-flying list for 15 days and the video was also pulled off social media.
Bobby Kataria, who uses Instagram to upload his bizarre antics and publicity stunts, seems to have gone a little too far this time around.
