The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday (November 4) named former journalist Isudan Gadhvi as its chief minister candidate for Gujarat assembly elections.
People's choice: This candidate's name was announced on the basis of opinions submitted to the party by the people of the state, the AAP said.
Last week, Kejriwal urged people to contact the party through SMS, WhatsApp, voice mail and e-mail to give their views about who should be the CM candidate from the party in the state.
Who is Isudan Gadhvi? Isudan Gadhvi was born in Pipalya village near Khambaliya in Dwarka district of Gujarat. He was a journalist before joining the AAP and has worked with Doordarshan and ETV Bharat.
AAP candidates: The AAP on Thursday (November 3) announced its ninth list of 10 candidates for the Gujarat polls. So far, the party has announced the name of 118 candidates for the 182-member Gujarat assembly.
Gujarat polls: Gujarat assembly elections will take place in two phases, on December 1 and on December 5, the Election Commission announced on Thursday (November 3). The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
