Following a crash of a training flight in the northern Philippines, an Indian student pilot and his Filipino instructor were killed, authorities said Wednesday (August 2).

The wreckage of a small plane was discovered following its crash in Apayao province, Philippines on Wednesday (August 2).
The aircraft had been reported missing since Tuesday (August 1) afternoon.
However, the search operation for the two bodies -- Indian student pilot named Anshum Rajkumar Konde and his flight instructor Captain Edzel John Lumbao Tabuzo is still underway.
A small plane, the Echo Air Cessna 152 aircraft, was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon after its departure from Laoag International Airport at 12.16 pm (PHST), according to local media reports.
The intended destination of the flight was Tuguegarao Airport at 3.16 pm ( PHST), but unfortunately, the plane did not reach its destination as expected.
On Wednesday afternoon, the wreckage of the aircraft was discovered in the province of Apayao.
We would like to clarify that the only confirmed information is the possible crash site of the missing Cessna 152. All other information are subject for verification.

Joeffrey Borromeo, the head of the Apayao Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), confirmed that the crash site is situated at the border between Barangay Salvacion in Luna town and Barangay San Mariano in Pudtol town.
Third Cessna plane crash in a year in the Philippines
The recent crash marked the third incident this year involving a Cessna plane in the country.
In February, a Cessna plane carrying four passengers crashed near Mayon Volcano's crater, and after a day of search, all four occupants were confirmed dead.
