Instagram is a crazy place, and there is no doubt that we do tend to trust whatever we see on Reels. With this new trend, we women are making sure that men do believe that we women shed our skin... like a snake, every month.
So, if you are one of those who have fallen victim to believing that women shed like a snake every month, let me tell you, you're not alone. Almost all men, and some women, believe that shedding their skin is a process that women undergo once a month during our periods.
Here's the thing, we women do not shed during our periods, or do we? Nah, I am kidding; we don't.
But many influencers are pranking the men in their lives, from husbands to boyfriends to brothers, to believe that it is rather normal to shed their skin, and we peel our skin away, and we get a new face, AKA skin, every month.
The latest one to hop on to the trend is influencer Haley Kalil, who posted a video on her Instagram, asking ladies for advice saying that she was "shedding this time of her month, but this time it was rather painful".
See the video yourself:
Here's the thing about such fake trends, generally everyone calls out the creator who is creating the trend, comment section on this trend, also chimed in fooling men, and advised Haley to drink lots of water and meditate to avoid "painful shedding".
So, if you are someone who even in 2023 has very little knowledge about periods or mensuration, and you turn to the comment section to look for the truth, you will not find it there.
Check some of them out:
Meanwhile men:
If we look it at seriously and analyse it, it is a mockery of how little men know about the female body and even mensuration, which is a pretty taboo word even now.
Because of this very little education, a trend like this can exist.
Apart from the shedding part, a lot of nail technicians are also creating videos, on "How actually nails are done". In this video, a nail tech explains, "why women need so much time to get their nails done, send this to their men", and then shows of an extremely painful process of getting the nails done with a fake nail, obviously.
The whole nail is removed from the cuticle, and them some 'stuff' comes out from the nails cuticle. The entire video again looks very believable and if you have no idea that how nails are done, you will fall for it! Take a look:
This video got people freaking out, check out some comments.
