Tinder will relaunch its Desk Mode so that you can slyly change your screen, and seem like a 'nerdy' hard-working person when in reality you are just swiping left and right. But will this really work?
Why do you need the Desk Mode? If you are spending long hours at your work desk and missing out on meeting new people and finding new dates, Tinder has a solution. Tinder understands that you may be one of those working people who are now transitioning or have transitioned into working from the office. And working from the office means that you cannot swipe left and right on your phone all day from your couch or your bed.
Instead, now that you are back in the office and have your boss hovering around your desk and your colleagues trying to slyly peep into your laptop screens, your options to create an interesting dating life might have gone out of the window. So how do you make your life colorful and interesting, just like when you were working from home? Also, how do you keep your colorful life discreet in office?
Looks like you can use Tinder's Desk Mode feature to keep your dating game alive (and a secret from your work colleagues).
How does the desktop work mode work? Tinder has decided to relaunch this feature and here's how it will work:
So say you you are checking out a person on your desktop at work, and you can sense that someone is going to pass behind your chair or peep into your screen. You press a tiny briefcase button on the screen and voila, Tinder will automatically change your screen.
There’s a desktop version of tinder and they literally have a “work mode” option so you can pretend you’re working wtf pic.twitter.com/7mMCi1eX4r

What does this changed screen look like?
The screen above will pop up in front of your Tinder tab and will hopefully create the perception that you are hard at work. The Google Doc lookalike page consists of meeting notes, the date and time, dated notes, and some kind of irrelevant statistical analysis. It's also white and pink and you might understand why.
But will this really work? Well, if your colleagues know you too well and know that you are too lazy to be attentive in a meeting let alone make notes, this feature won't really work. Also, if you are like me and don't have any meetings to attend, how will you use it anyway? Also, what if the colleague sitting next to you uses it when you pass by their chair? Lol.
this could work for me, but I normally disassociate entirely in meetings when I'm talked at for too long, so if any of my coworkers walked past and saw "Meeting notes" they'd know it was a lie
