K-pop boy band BTS members V, Jimin, and Jungkook recently paid a visit to an Indian cafe known as Cafe Chai, nestled in Jeju Island, South Korea. This cafe not only serves Indian cuisine but also offers a range of enjoyable activities for its patrons. Despite its classification as an Indian cuisine establishment, here's a surprising twist: the owner is South Korean!

The cafe's story begins when the owner embarked on a journey to India approximately 13 years ago. This transformative experience led her to embrace the identity of a Chaiwala, which she proudly embodies today.

The cafe, which opened its doors in 2012, is now 11 years old.

  • The menu boasts a selection of Chai, Lassi, and the owner's personal favorite, Tandoori chicken.

  • The owners generously offer free yoga classes and proudly display artwork created by cafe visitors and customers.
  • In 2016, they even organised an exhibition named "Love Love Love" in their backyard, featuring a brief Bollywood dance performance. Artists interested in hosting exhibitions can reach out to them.
