The Fabulous Lives of Dubai-Millionaire Wives is becoming a trend with Instagram influencers

Instagram is a crazy realm of bizarre trends and one such trend has not only sparked controversies but has also made a city famous: Dubai. Dubai, the tax-free heaven for a lot of millionaires, is now becoming a topic of conversation for a lot of people on Instagram too.

What

  • Dubai experienced a remarkable increase in international visitors during the first half of 2023, reaching a record-breaking figure of 8.55 million tourists. This performance surpassed the pre-pandemic record of 8.36 million tourists in the first half of 2019.
  • Now, there are various reasons behind this increase, which include its world-class infrastructure and stunning attractions. But if you were to look at social media, it will tell you a different story.

Apart from the above-mentioned things, a lot of people have made Dubai famous for having a grand lifestyle. It is also, of course, quite the playground for finding "rich men" who will "take care of you".

How I Spend My Day: A millionaire's wife edition

A lot of people (mostly women) are taking to Instagram to show what it is like to spend a day being a millionaire/billionaire's girlfriend.

These reels are sometimes for humour purposes, and sometimes it is actually true and a vlog on her own life.

  • For instance, Linda Andrade, the wife of a wealthy Dubai millionaire and influencer, often ignites outrage with her extravagant spending habits.

In several videos that are going viral on Instagram, she showcases how she has spent thousands of dollars in a day (for shopping, buying bags, and eating at 5-star restaurants).

She also at times talks about how it is the "worst thing" and how it is exhausting to be "so rich". (cough rich world problems cough)

Pink Bentley

Another Influencer, Malaikah Raja, who is married to Mohammad Fuaath, a trader from Dubai, also often shares her extravagant lifestyle through posting on Instagram, where she drives around in her Pink Bentley (that her husband gifted), and shops at Dubai Mall.

Her favourite pastime? Shopping expensive luxury items from Chanel to diamond Cartier accessories.

The real reason

These videos which are posted by such influencers not only go viral with millions of views, but also give a sneak peek into the life of the extremely rich people living in Dubai, a lifestyle lot of people crave.

This can be one of the reasons why Dubai is getting a lot of attention on Instagram.

The Indian influencer's sugar daddy edition

Anish Bhagatt, an Indian influencer with more than 500k followers on Instagram, in the month of October posted a story on, "how he is looking for a sugar daddy to spoil him". However, he posted the story as a joke, but he did end up getting a text from a man living in Dubai, according to his Instagram.

He later posted a reel on Instagram, which he then deleted, that showed how he went on an all-sponsored trip to Dubai. According to that reel, Sina (the guy from Dubai), not only booked a 5-star room for him, but also paid for his luxury shopping.
