Who would have not seen the viral meme where a dog is seating with its paws in front of it. The dog, named Kabosu, a 17-year-old Shiba Inu dog, an internet sensation which inspired a cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, is now suffering from leukemia and a liver disease, its owner has said.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Atsuko Sato, the Japan-based owner of Kabosu, a rescue dog, revealed that the 17-year-old Shiba Inu has chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a type of blood and bone marrow cancer, and cholangiohepatitis, an inflammation of the bile ducts, gallbladder and liver tissue. According to the post, Atsuko had stopped eating and drinking over the weekend.
By the way, the lifespan of an average Shiba Inu is generally 11-15 years.
Kabosu's owner started off her account in 2010 and since then it has gone viral and is often used in memes to express emotions like "wow", "so scared" "much respect" and many more, it is still universal, you get the point.
