Everyone knows Taylor Swift has the strongest fan base among all fan bases, and now everyone has begun to not only acknowledge it, but also leverage it for their use. Especially people in politics.

If you are a Swiftie, chances are you have seen videos on your feed where a judge or a news anchor is referring to a song by her in the most uncanny way. However, with her Eras tour coming up, things have gone to pretty extreme levels.

Taylor received mind-blowing reviews for her latest Eras tour, which is a 3-hour-long show with 44 songs; and it is a tour that has come after a break of 5 years. Apart from the crazy reception from critics and fans, Taylor is also receiving overwhelming love from the US government.

What the?

Yes, we are not kidding.

Take a look at what the US government has done, starting from Glendale, Arizona.

So, Taylor Swift was to perform in Glendale on March 17-18, and on the morning of March 13, their mayor Jerry Weiers announced that the city was being renamed as 'Swift City' in honour of her Eras Tour.

On Thursday (April 6, 2023), Dallas made an announcement with a statement that contained Taylor Swift-related wordplay.

The statement expressed excitement for Swift's return to AT&T Stadium and mentioned that attendees of the Eras Tour would have a great time in the Entertainment District.

For a limited time, Randol Mill Road in Dallas was called "Taylor Swift Way" and a street sign was placed at the intersection of Collins Street.

Additionally, the city also illuminated its steel sculptures in front of City Hall in red and presented Swift with a key to the city.

Don't worry, the change was temporary; and was only active for the two days of her performances.

Her next stop was Vegas. So it decked up its iconic Gateway Arches in Taylor Swift Eras colours every night until she performed there on March 25.

However, her next stop is Tampa in Florida; and the government has decided to up the game, according to their official statement.

Taylor will be performing in Tampa today; April 13, 2023, and the government is all ready to not only welcome Taylor but have also given her the title of honorary Mayor for a day.

We know Glendale changed its name, Arlington made a street sign, and Vegas illuminated its Gateway Arches, but here in Tampa, we've got a reputation to uphold.
- Mayor Jane Castor

Looks like Tampa really stepped up their game. What will the next mayor do for Taylor? We don't know yet, but well, It's A Love Story.
