Japan is home to some of the quirkiest innovations humanity never knew it needed. Adding to the list is a bean bag that you can wear. You must be wondering why you would need to WEAR a bean bag. Well, sitting on a bean bag can be relaxing, but this Japanese company wanted to take the comfort to another level.

Traditional bean bags are already comfortable. They often serve as stress busters as well in office spaces by being less formal. But they can be restrictive in the way you move once you get into a sitting position.
The concept behind the wearable bean bag according to its manufacturer Takiko Sewing is to let go anytime and anywhere.
- You can roll on the wearing it without having to move as many muscles.
- The pear-shaped goofy-looking bean bag is already a hit on Japanese social media.
- Another customer, Yuu Matsuzaki, said it could also double as a blanket during winters in homes lacking central heating.
- And of course, you don't always have to wear this bean bag. It can double as a normal bean bag too.
The inspiration behind the concept: Takikawa said that the concept wasn't necessarily born out of the Covid-19 pandemic and work-from-home requirements. It was when the prototype of the product became popular among the company staff that they decided to go with it.

How much does it weigh? The bean bag comes in three sizes small (S), medium (M), and Large (L).
- The small and medium ones are designed for children and the large one is for adults.
- Small bean bag weighs 1.1 kg, medium one weighs 2.2 kg and the large one weighs 5 kg.
How much does it cost? The wearable bean bag costs around 15,800 yen or Rs 10,000.
