The untold story of ex-porn star Bree Olson concerns us all

This is an untold story of a former porn star Bree Olson, who, even after retiring from the industry, remained silent. She was discriminated, threatened, segregated, humiliated, and is nothing but a disgrace, for we, as a society, have failed her.

It might be comfortable for us to get diabolically judgemental, without even trying to consider ourselves an integral part of it, but how far we have gone to bring down those people around us, has no limit.

The world outside is ever so ready to tarnish not only your self worth, but also your entire spectrum of peace. Just because there are women out there in the movies and the media, especially created for sexual desires and entertainment - people who form this society as much as we do?

We, as a society, have powers to judge it beyond the continuum of our haywire and duplicitous ideology. Because we surely enjoy watching the pornographic content, but we cannot enjoy a simple fact that the people who are acting it out, are humans as well and live amongst us. Not to mention that it's not even broadly considered a crime. Because if that's the case, then watching it should be more than a crime.

When Bree Olson joined the industry, she was only 19 - trying to figure out the complexities that come with the age, one's sexuality. Bree Olson was a full-time student and worker, but flew out to give porn industry a try. She wanted to make big money out there. Now that she wants to leave it behind, would we rather give her a taste of our degrading humanity?

Because, for sure, we have failed to embrace her and what she comes with - none of which is considered crime.

She is still better than those who have committed crimes against humanity. But, what humanity?

We should not lie, or put our hands down when asked if we have ever been a part of it, because we may not question our own ethics but be the first ones to point these "ethics" out to bring down anybody else in this situation. Sorry Bree Olson. No matter how good a person you are, we won't accept you. Because that is how we are and that is what we do as a society.

To leave you with a line that should trouble you for a while - "The money isn't worth the pain of what society will put you through forever." - Bree Olson.

Innocent bystanders turn into double-dealing members of our respected society, if we can call it one. It should not just move us, but displace us altogether.

We come here to live, to experience, to share, to care, but all we ever do is bring down people because we are more concerned about what is going on with them, despite the fact that our life has been a big question, in itself. We have taken the wrong road as we have stopped respecting life around us, because we want issues to keep ourselves entertained.

As Led Zeppelin would play: "And she's buying a stairway to heaven."
