Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Nandanvan Zoo and Safari at Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, November 1. The event would not have been a big deal had the prime minister not decided to move from one end of the camera to the other.
Yes, PM Narendra Modi was seen clicking photographs of the majestic tiger, of course suitably caged and confined. Of course, it is a big deal on many levels. Well, at least it is sort of amusing on many levels.
One, the world got to see India’s “Tiger” taking photos of India’s tiger. Two, it is truly a rare occasion when the prime minister is not in front of the camera, rather behind it. (Well, he's also in front it, but then it's a different camera, and the PM is not even looking straight at it, so really, does it even count?) And finally, this is one of truly rare occasions when it's difficult to tell the beast from the Beast, who will ace whom in the ferociousness quotient.

Suffice it to say, social media is going crazy with the photos and the videos of our prime minister turning into a hipster photographer. Hopefully, we’ll get to see him clicking the graffiti at Hauz Khas Village soon, or at least taking selfies against those uber-hip walls.
But now, enjoy the memes that are going viral online, capturing the PM in a brand new lens.
