Mystery solved: We know who’s to be blamed/praised for Ranveer’s wardrobe

There can never be enough words written — or spoken — about Ranveer Singh’s fashion statement. He is blindingly bright, conspicuously colourful and utterly unapologetic about all this. He can wear anything and at any place and the moment you think it can’t get any weirder, you are destroyed. From kohl to ghagras (in a layman’s words), he has worn it all.

For quite long, we were indecisive about whether it’s him, Ranveer Kapoor, the flamboyant actor, or his stylist, Nitasha Gaurav, behind this curious case of sartorial craziness.

Obviously, it’s both of them.

But there’s a third person.

And, if the free-wheeling chat of Koffee with Karan Season 6 is to be believed, this person is director Karan Johar, which reminds us that Karan, too, has been acing the style game for quite some time.

On this episode too, Ranveer was wearing an exclusive Versace wild print, which has been worn globally by three celebrities — DJ Khaled, Beyonce and Ranveer. And the weird eyewear, as it was disclosed later, was a gift from Karan Johar.

So, what we came to know was that when Versace and Gucci are not sponsoring Ranveer’s clothes, it is Karan Johar who is just sending across outrageous clothes to Ranveer Singh, maybe when his wardrobe needs a little revamp.

And why so?

Because, who else will wear an oversized golden frame pair of glasses, with matching gold chains dangling and claiming Oh-I-am-so-rich, and emerge with flying colours — unscathed and, on the contrary, quite praised by the fashion police?

Only Ranveer Singh.

But then, why should Karan Johar keep on buying things for Ranveer Singh?

It might be sheer love as Ranveer is also going to star in Karan Johar’s Takht.

But, as Karan puts it, he buys these over-the-top clothes because he likes them.

But then, he does not think he will be able to pull them off like Ranveer does. And so, he sends them to Ranveer.

Apart from quirkiness, what is common between these Bollywood boys?

Money. And a lot of it. So much that they are not even scared a bit that bragging about it on national television can dent their glow a little.

So, for example, Karan gifted a tracksuit worth Rs 3.5 lakh to Ranveer on his birthday two years ago.

And the reaction of Alia Bhatt (in above photo) summarises what many of us would feel about the tracksuit — had it not been precious Ranveer Singh wearing it.

But it’s worth Rs 3.5 lakh!

Well, that should shut us all up.
