It’s always heartening to hear a line or two about an election from a Prime Minister who doesn’t know what an election is. India’s airstrike on reportedly the biggest training camp of terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) across the LoC has brought this amazing opportunity to us. New Pakistan’s new PM Imran Khan talked about elections and electoral obligations that a people’s representative has to face ahead of elections.
What a day has arrived!
“The action has been done for domestic consumption being in election environment, putting regional peace and stability at grave risk. The claimed area of strike is open for the world to see the facts on ground. For this domestic and international media is being taken to the impact site.”
This is the official statement of the Prime Minister, following a special meeting of the National Security Committee in Pakistan after India’s hard-hitting airstrike.
According to a post on Imran Khan’s official Facebook page, the forum (that's basically their army guys with a few officials) strongly rejected Indian claims of targeting a terrorist camp near Balakot and causing heavy casualties.
But, at the same time, it has resolved that Pakistan shall respond to this “uncalled for aggression” at the time and place of its choosing.
This is exactly what happens when you go on telling lies.
Dear Pakistan, think clearly.
Till yesterday, you didn’t have any idea of any terror training camps existing on your soil. Then, how could you dismiss India’s claim of destroying the biggest terror camp? Or, have you checked that the biggest one still exists unharmed under the safety blanket of your deep state?
Also, if there has been no casualty, then what will you avenge, dear Pakistan?

Then, to top it all, Mr Imran Khan talks about elections.
How closely he must have followed the electoral processes of his neighbouring country! Otherwise, how will he know what an election is? His country hasn't seen one recently, not that we know of. Even within Pakistan, it is widely suggested Mr Imran Khan is the army's 'selection' for his post!
Domestic and international media will find the impact on their own, Imran. They won't need your help.
The Pakistanis who have been at the receiving end of terrorism probably need your help instead, Mr PM. Why don't you help them?
