We always knew Donald Trump was a man out of control, but the Fox News GOP debate yesterday only reinforced that he is the man everyone loves to hate. He insulting to minorities (he talked about Mexico's cunning leaders and America's stupid ones and reiterated his June sentiment that described illegal immigrants from Mexico as killers and rapists), to women (when asked why he had called women fat pigs, blobs and dogs, he replied, only Rosie O'Donnell) and looked appropriately lascivious when reminded that a Celebrity Apprentice contestant had dropped to her knees and asked not be fired.
So what is it about him that we love to hate? Lots.
#1. The flash
Who else can talk himself up so much? Only The Donald who is a listicle writer's delight. Here is a compilation of his eight biggest boasts (thank you).
#2. The cash
He has never had as much as he claims he has. But any statement of fact that points to that, only elicits rage and rants. He is currently estimated to be worth $10 billion according to himself but Doug Litowitz has just slogged through all ninety-two pages of Donald Trump’s financial disclosure submission to the Federal Election Commission, and come to the opposite possibility, that Trump is, in relative terms, broke. Don't miss this compilation on the one-man firing squad.
#3. The hair
It's so inspiring that it has inspired countless memes.
My favourite is this one.
It has also inspired many debates: is it a toupee, a combover or a transplant?
#4. The smirk
This can only be illustrated with pictures. No words necessary.
#5. The insults
Perhaps they are borrowed from the book a 1990 Vanity Fair article said he keeps by his bedside, a collection of Adolf Hitler's speeches, My New Order.
But he regularly insults people, especially women, and especially those closest to him. When he was leaving his first wife Ivana Trump, he said people were curious why he was doing so because she was a fine piece of a##. Charming. Here's a helpful list.
#6. The fists of fury
He's fighting a running battle with Daily Beast for its story on domestic abuse.
#7. The tweets from hell
Not content with insulting women on the GOP Debate, he then called Megyn Kelly a bimbo on Twitter, and insisted she had been unfair. He may well delete it, just as he deleted this - that Jeb Bush likes "Mexican illegals because of his wife."
Bush's wife, Columba, was born in Mexico. The tweet remained up for a total of 24 hours, according to screenshots captured by The Wrap.
