Cristiano Ronaldo's second spell at Manchester United has finally come to an end. Ronaldo is to leave United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect, the club announced on Tuesday (November 22).
Ronaldo, a legend of the English football club, last week in a controversial television interview on TalkTV had said that said he felt "betrayed" by the club and that he had no respect for new manager Erik ten Hag.
"The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future," the statement from the club said.

Glazers to sell Manchester United? The Glazer family, who own the Manchester United, on Tuesday announced they are open to selling the club. The club said it is "exploring strategic alternatives," including new investment or a full sale.
"The process is designed to enhance the club's future growth, with the ultimate goal of positioning the club to capitalize on opportunities both on the pitch and commercially. As part of this process, the board will consider all strategic alternatives, including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the company," the club's statement read.
