Apart from beauty mogul, billionaire and reality star, Kylie Jenner can now add another label to her name: 'climate criminal'.
What was meant to be an as-subtle-as-a-sledgehammer subtle brag about her and rapper boyfriend Travis Scott’s wealth, blew up in her face due to her negligence towards the climate and her sheer lack of touch with reality.
Jenner posted a black and white picture of herself and Scott on her Instagram, captioned, “you wanna take mine or yours?”. What really caught the eye of all of Instagram were the two private jets. And that Rolls-Royce in the background. Of course, you know what Jenner's caption meant.
The question and the picture of two private jets did not sit well with the public. The ‘anger’ was further amplified when famed private jet tracker, Jack Sweeney posted Jenner’s flight log on his Twitter page, @CelebJets.
Sweeney posted that Jenner’s flight took off from Camarillo, California, US and landed in Van Nuys, California, US, in less than 3 minutes.

However, Sweeney later corrected himself and posted that it was 17-minute fight. (yeah, she took a private jet for a 17-minute flight)
Just some clarification this ended up being a 17 minute flight. Some of the data I get from companies on flights have poor estimations.

Fun fact, as per Google maps, it takes only 40 minutes to travel from Camarillo to Van Nyus by road.
Sweeney was also quick to highlight that Jenner’s jet is on the FAA LADD list which means that Jenner has her aircraft’s registration number blocked from “any public dissemination or display”. Simply put, she doesn’t want her jet to be tracked by anyone.
You wanna know what's the worst part of this Kylie Jenner short flight news. Her aircraft N810KJ is on the FAA LADD list, which means she's trying to hide from being tracked. But yet she's posting pictures of the plane????

Jenner’s Instagram comments and Twitter are not responding well to this revelation. Here is what some of her Instagram comments look like:
One Twitter user tweeted, “We got 8 years to save the world and capitalism tells me i have to do everything i can to save the world but Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have to pick what private jet they wanna take a 20 minute flight on.”

Another wrote, "Europe is on fire, meanwhile Kylie Jenner is taking 15 minute trips in her private jet. I could recycle everything, buy all my clothes second hand, compost and grow my own food for the rest of my life and it wouldn’t even begin to offset the footprint from one of her flights.”

The Forbes controversy: But this isn’t the only large-scale controversy Jenner has found herself in, at least in the past 2 years. In 2019, Forbes magazine had named Jenner as the youngest self-made billionaire but in 2020 had to recall the title.
It was revealed that Forbes had to recalculate her wealth after it was revealed that Jenner and her mother-cum-manager, Kris Jenner had massively inflated sales Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin were making.
Forbes claimed that Jenner’s family accountant had provided them with tax returns that showed that Jenner’s firm had done over US $300m in sales in 2016 but when Jenner sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty, the company revealed that Jenner’s firm was significantly smaller and less profitable that what had been projected.
Coty told investors that the Jenner business only did US $125 million in sales in 2018.
Forbes asked, "If Kylie Cosmetics did US $125 million in sales in 2018, how could it have done US $307 million in 2016 (as the company's supposed tax returns state) or US $330 million in 2017?"
Jenner was unfazed by the callback and allegations. She tweeted, "what am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period."

Astroworld tragedy: But if you’re thinking that Jenner is the only one with a tendency to find herself in-between large-scale controversies, Scott's no stranger either to controversies.
One of Travis Scott's Astroworld concerts held on November 5, 2021 in Houston, Texas caused the death of 10 people due to a stampede. About 50,000 people attended the concert and as expected, a stampede followed. Scott did not stop the concert and even brought fellow rapper Drake out for the finale.
About 300 people were injured at the concert, out of which 25 were taken to the hospital. The ages of the 10 people who died were between 14 to 27, with the youngest being a nine-year-old child.
By the time, Scott apologised for what happened, it was too late. He was forced to go radio-silent on his social media pages for months.
Jenner and Scott have two kids together; Stormi Webster and a son whose name has yet not been revealed.
