American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, 33, and British actor and songwriter Joe Alwyn, 32, have broken up after being together for six years.
The Grammy award winner and the Conversations with Friends actor had broken up a few weeks ago. Entertainment Tonight reported that the break-up between the two was quite civil and "it was not dramatic", "the relationship had just run its course".
The news of the two calling it quits comes at a time when Taylor Swift is traveling the country for her 'The Eras Tour', at which Joe Alwyn has not been seen.
At the time when the duo was dating, Alwyn co-wrote two songs on Taylor Swift's album Folklore (released in 2020), which won the British actor-songwriter Grammy award for album of the year. He also co-wrote three songs on Swift's album Evermore (released in 2020).
Taylor Swift's song "Lavender Haze" from her album Midnights (released in October 2022) was inspired by her relationship and romance with Alwyn after she learned the meaning of the phrase from an episode of Mad Men. The Love Story singer goes on to confirm this on an Instagram video she posted in early October before Midnights album's release.
