Taylor Swift's Brazil Eras tour is giving bad blood and she can't shake it off

Taylor Swift, the recent billionaire, is on the South American leg of her Eras tour, with her current stop being Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
However, things do not look as good for the Eras tour, as it is now being hit by a heat wave (quite literally), with a lot of problems arising. The situation worsened after the wave took the life of a 23-year-old fan.
What happened
The whole tour made headlines (for not-so-good reasons) after 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado died due to a heart attack while she was there to attend the concert.
So, here's what happened:
- Last Thursday (November 16), Taylor Swift was welcomed to Brazil with a projection on Rio's famous Christ the Redeemer statue.
- However, during Friday's show, Ana died in the sweltering heat in Rio de Janeiro.
- Taylor addressed the issue with a handwritten note on her Instagram story saying that she was heartbroken, and won't be able to speak about the issue on stage as she is filled with grief. However, the show did take place that day.
- But, it was the next day (on Saturday) that Taylor, in the eleventh hour, postponed her Saturday show until Monday. Reason? Extreme heat.
- For some context, the temperature was 59.3C (138.7F) on Friday, followed by 59.7C (139.5F) on Saturday in Brazil.

- After the incident, a lot of people took to social media to comment on the condition of the shows.
- Some fans claimed that they were not allowed to enter the stadium with water, and there were no arrangements for it later.
- Ana's father too, in an interview with a local Brazialian paper, said, “I want it to be found out whether they were in fact prohibited from bringing water, whether there was negligence in providing assistance."
- Additionally, fans chose to forego getting water once inside the stadium because they “didn’t want to lose their seats.”

What happened after that
After the unfortunate death of the 23-year-old, several precautions were taken to save fans from the extreme heat:
1. Taylor Swift was seen personally passing water bottles from the stage
2. Taylor stopped the show and asked her team to give water to her fans, who were screaming for water

3. Fire-fighters were seen dispersing water on fans from trucks on fans
4. Water cans and fans are kept everywhere to make sure that fans are comfortable

The only thing is that these precautions should have been taken earlier, before the incident, as concerts, especially jam-packed ones, are harmful to both the fans and the singer.
Remeber renowned Indian playback singer KK? He was on stage at the Nazrul Mancha auditorium in South Kolkata on May 31, 2023, but collapsed shortly after the show. A lot of people claimed that it was due to the overcrowding of the venue and unbearable temperatures.
